Tokyo-Mt. Fuji-Kyoto-Nara-Hiroshima-Osaka

Tokyo, Japan’s busy capital, mixes the ultramodern and the traditional, from neon-lit skyscrapers to historic temples. The opulent Meiji Shinto Shrine is known for its towering gate and surrounding woods. The Imperial Palace sits amid large public gardens. The city's many museums offer exhibits ranging from classical art (in the Tokyo National Museum) to a reconstructed kabuki theater (in the Edo-Tokyo Museum).

Tokyo, the capitol of Japan

Tokyo, the capitol of Japan, is a city with many faces. While being Japan’s center of Politics, economics and culture, and offering the latest technologies, Tokyo still maintains its Edo culture, which is over 400 years old. Kyoto, as the former capitol of Japan has taken a leading role in the nation’s politics and culture. Although it is a thriving metropolis of 104 million people, it is one of Japan’s oddest cities where historical heritage sites and culture still maintain a strong presence.
